Become a Pearson VUE Test Center
The English Proficiency (E^Pro) exams are delivered on the Pearson VUE testing center system. To locate a testing center near you that offers E^Pro, click here.
Or, become a Pearson VUE Authorized Test Center and offer E^Pro exams. Below are step by step instructions on how to become a testing center.
- Physical environment qualifications:
- Distraction-free location, such as a testing lab or classroom*
- A set of headphones and a microphone
- A camera and signature pad—Pearson VUE can provide these items in an Enhanced Security Protocol (ESP) kit
- Technical Requirements
- A certified Test Administrator (TA) to proctor the tests—this person does not need to be a dedicated resource and can get certified by completing an online test. See step five below for details.
- Go through the steps to become a Pearson VUE testing center
*Please note that candidates taking E^Pro are required to test alone due to the speaking and listening portions of the exam
Step 1: Apply
Read the technical and physical environments requirements listed above, then apply online. Please make sure to fill out the application for "IT training, Business and Corporate Organizations."
Please identify yourself as a Certiport Solution Provider, and note your specific interest in E^Pro exam delivery. If you are just signing up yourself as a single testing center, proceed as directed in the application process. If you are representing multiple CATCs, or want to recruit your affiliate CATCs, make your Pearson VUE Testing Center representative aware of this goal on your application.
Step 2: Sign
Pearson VUE will evaluate the application, then send a contract and other forms to be signed.
Step 3: Approval
Once approved, Pearson VUE will send a pre-activation kit (containing materials for your test center), and your Pearson VUE Site ID which enables access to the online Policies & Procedure Guide. You will need to provide proof that you've procured the Enhanced Security Protocol (ESP) kit.
Step 4: Install
Get the testing software running with help from the Pearson VUE support services team.
Step 5: Train
The Test Administrator must pass an open-book certification test once they have reviewed the Policies & Procedure Guide online. Please use your Pearson VUE Site ID to log in and locate the certification.
